Expedition Timeline
Delve into tropical Indonesia for an exotic sand and sea adventure. Push off into the turquoise waters off Labuan Bajo toward the mysterious Komodo Island, where you spot the lumbering Komodo dragon and other rare wildlife during a walking safari. Overnight in a boat upon the deep-blue sea and take to these same waters during the day when you snorkel and swim amid unspoiled coral reefs and neon-hued tropical fish.

Arrive Denpasar, Indonesia
Today, arrive to Denpasar, the capital of fabled Bali. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your resort.

Denpasar/Labuan Bajo
Set off today for Labuan Bajo, once a sleepy fishing village and now considered the gateway to Komodo Island. Board your cruiser and set off en route for Komodo, home to the gargantuan Komodo dragon, the largest lizard species in the world. Once in Komodo Island waters, head for Red Beach to swim and snorkel amid the abundant sea life. The beach’s shallow reef teems with healthy corals and tropical fish. Return to your boat for dinner and overnight.

Labuan Bajo/Komodo Island/Labuan Bajo
This morning, disembark at Komodo Island for a morning game walk in search of the famous Komodo dragon, a monitor lizard that can grow over nine feet in length and weigh an average of 150 pounds. They are said to have evolved to that size due to the lack of other predators on the island. Your expert guide leads you near these giants, teaching you about their behavior, diet and response to conservation efforts. Afterward, return to Labuan Bajo, stopping by a Komodo fishing village to view its unique architectural technique of building homes on stilts. After lunch on board, stop at Bidadari Island to snorkel amid more of Indonesia’s stunning and under-explored coral.

Labuan Bajo/Denpasar
After breakfast, tour Batu Cermin, an impressive rock formation near a series of caves. Afterward, transfer to the airport for your flight to Denpasar. Upon arrival, connect to your onward flight.
